What you will be doing:

You will be supporting the Human Resources Director (HRD) in all aspects of Human Resource work including resourcing, relations, learning and development, administering benefits, reward and payroll. You will be key in supporting the HRD in the HR planning and delivery for the business.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Carry out Human Resources administration across all  jurisdictions, including Jersey and the Isle of Man
  • Update and streamline Human Resources processes so that the department runs efficiently and smoothly
  • Assisting with the preparation of payroll
  • Complete probation, maternity, promotion and confirmation of resignation letters
  • Create addendums for each adopted UK policy where there are differences between Jersey, IOM and UK legislation
  • Provide support in employee relation matters
  • Respond to employee queries relating to benefits, policies and procedures.
  • Support the on-boarding of new staff including preparing offer letters, contracts and pre-screening
  • Support recruitment across the business including all recruitment administration and administering the career portal
  • Preparation of MI for reporting
  • Record the minutes for executive committee meetings, end of year rating consistency meetings, absence management meetings and also employee dismissals
  • Responsible for all HR data administration, including updating the HR system Workday.
  • Provide support to employee engagement events
  • Provide Human Resources data for annual salary surveys
  • Maintaining and revising HR SharePoint on staff benefits, policies and procedures and send out business communications as required
  • Maintaining department records and reports
  • Participating in meetings on Human Resources related matters
  • Prepare various returns in accordance with legislation e.g. regulation of undertaking
  • Support the monitoring of mandatory training
  • Identify and assess actual/potential risk
  • Comply with regulatory and legislative requirements to contain impact across the Crown Dependencies e.g. reputation, financial, legislative and ethical
  • Being responsible for keeping up to date on all Crown Dependency legislation

  • Strong PC skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook include mail merge
  • Ability to navigate through complex IT drives
  • Experience of HR system Workday – desirable
  • Experience in preparation and presentation of reports and HR metrics for monitoring the effectiveness of internal practices and external contractors – desirable
  • Have an understanding of all Employment Legislation across the Crown Dependencies is desirable  
  • 3 years of practical experience in all aspects of Human Resources administration is desirable

What else you need to know:

This is a permanent role working 35 hours per week, with a competitive salary and benefits package.The role can be based in Isle of Man or Jersey and may require some travel between jurisdictions.
