What you will be doing:

 

  • Reporting to the CTO the Test Managers primary responsibility is to create, execute and optimise the testing process for our Transformational Programme across our critical SaaS applications. 
  • Collaborating closely with the Senior Business stakeholder, business users, product owners, and project teams, you will play a pivotal role in devising and delivering a robust test strategy.
  • Focus will need to be on ensuring a very low error rate, guaranteeing the reliability and quality of our applications, including Salesforce, Temenos T24, and AWS.
  • This role involves coordinating a centralised test team and utilizing automation test tools such as Java, Selenium, Gherkin, Cucumber, Karate, Source Labs, and ACCELQ.

Key Accountabilities: 

Customer

  • Create a transformation Programme test strategy while the programme is being deployed and ann on going CI/CD test strategy for the core SaaS platform ongoing development.
  • Business UAT Coordination: Actively engage with business stakeholders to understand their needs and expectations, incorporating their feedback into the test strategy. Facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) sessions, ensuring alignment with business objectives and obtaining sign-off from the Product Owner.
  • Defect Management: Establish a proactive approach to defect management by collaborating with development teams. Ensure timely resolutions to defects, maintaining a very low error rate and a seamless product lifecycle.

People 

  • Lead and inspire a remote/offshore testing team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Empower team members to contribute to the development and execution of an effective test strategy.
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Work closely with business, product owners, and project teams to align testing activities with overall project goals.

What you will bring:

  • Experience in creating and managing complex test strategies of integrated Banking platforms
  • Demonstrate strong leadership skills in guiding the testing team towards the common goal of achieving a robust test strategy with minimal errors particular where these team are spread across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Motivate and inspire team members to deliver high-quality results.
  • Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Effectively convey the test strategy to diverse stakeholders, ensuring a shared understanding of goals and expectations.
  • Showcase proficiency in using automation test tools, such as Java, Selenium, Gherkin, Cucumber, Karate, Source Labs, and ACCELQ.
  • Implement these tools strategically to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of testing processes allowing for increased volume and complexity of test cases more efficiently.
  • Apply expertise in testing methodologies for large-scale SaaS applications, collaborating closely with the business, product owners, and project teams to ensure a comprehensive and effective test strategy.
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with automation tools. Utilize these tools strategically to minimize errors and enhance the overall quality of testing processes.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of testing methodologies specific to SaaS applications like Salesforce, Temenos T24, and AWS. Apply this knowledge to develop and execute a robust test strategy.
  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven track record and experience in test management within the banking or financial services sector, emphasising successful collaboration with business, product owners, and project teams.
