Data Management Services

Data Management Services is an operational support function within the Chief Operations Office of Santander International. Their role is to enhance the value of the organisation's information through data governance and capabilities outlined in a Data Management Framework.

Data Management Services serves as a platform to facilitate better decision-making, streamline data maintenance processes, and manage data-related risks and compliance. The capabilities are categorised into various disciplines:

• Enablers: data governance and quality
• Core disciplines: data delivery, protection, and operations
• Supporting disciplines: data architecture and metadata

The Data Management Service function is led by a dedicated Data Officer who assumes the following responsibilities:

• Informing and advising the organisation and its employees on data management risks and opportunities for data quality improvement
• Monitoring and facilitating compliance with Data Management policies and procedures
• Leading the Data Management Services function

Certain data-related activities may involve additional roles outside of operations, such as the Data Protection Officer, eCiso, and Data Analyst.
