Some countries and regions place restrictions on banks providing services to customers from outside their jurisdiction. These rules may limit our ability to offer, promote or provide certain banking products and services unless specific regulatory requirements are met or an exemption applies.
This includes, for example, the European Union’s revised Capital Requirements Directive, known as CRD VI, which introduces requirements for non-EU banks providing certain core banking services to customers in the EU.
What this may mean for you
Depending on your country of residence, location and the service you require, we may be limited in how we can:
- offer or promote certain products and services;
- provide new or additional banking services;
- discuss certain options unless you contact us first;
- continue providing services where local rules, exemptions or transitional arrangements apply.
In some circumstances, we may still be able to support you where this is permitted under applicable law, including where you contact us at your own initiative, where existing arrangements are protected by transitional provisions, or where another exemption applies.

We remain committed to supporting our customers and will continue to provide services where we are legally permitted to do so. If any change affects the products or services you hold with us, we will contact you directly.
