What you will be doing:

We’re looking for a FX and Investments Dealing Manager to join our rapidly growing team. In this role, you will play a key role in designing and building new processes to support our new investment business.

Working within a fast paced and dynamic environment we are looking for an individual who can work using their own initiative, has a middle office or dealing background (preferably in banking and investments), and has a can-do attitude.  You will have excellent attention to detail, the ability to prioritise workloads and contribute to a highly effective team.

 

The difference you’ll make:

 

·         Order Processing: Ensure accurate and timely processing of customer orders, including verification of trade details and pricing. Buy and sell orders for various financial instruments including equites, bonds, ETFs and Unit Trusts.

·         Foreign Exchange: Managing the daily set up and intra-day balancing of the local treasury desk. Real time quoting of FX for large transactions, including the negotiation of margins. Developing processes and controls for all quoted transactions. 

·         Client Support: Providing prompt and professional support to clients regarding trade-execution inquiries, account inquiries and general investment information.

·         Trade Lifecycle Management: Monitor and oversee the entire trade lifecycle, from trade capture to settlement, communicating regularly with the global custodian to avoid any settlement delays.

·         Supplier Management: Developing key relationships with the global custodian, execution dealing desk and Santander Flame as critical suppliers.

·         Post trade support: Investigate any client queries such as failed trades, corporate action elections, dividend discrepancies and stock reconciliations.   

·         Corporate Actions: Understand and investigate corporate action events, such as dividends, mergers, and stock splits, ensuring clear and timely communication with clients.

·         Client Reporting: Generate and check portfolio valuations, tax reports, income statements and contract notes.

·         Portfolio Transfers: Working with the outsourced custodian to transfer securities from 3rd party wealth managers, in-specie transfers.

·         Finance support: communicate with Santander finance team to ensure monthly revenue and costs are captured accurately and in a timely manner.

·         Supporting and training intermediaries and team members on a highly sophisticated and configurable wealth management platform.

·         Systems and Process Improvement: Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and efficiency enhancements within the middle office function, collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement solutions.

 

What you’ll bring:

·         Experience at a senior level of working in Financial Markets and products, ideally with exposure to the full range of investment, wholesale, private and retail banking products.

·         An understanding of Jersey and Isle of Man investment regulations and financial services industry best practices.

·         A recognised Dealing qualification such as the CISI Investment Advice Diploma, or equivalent.

 

It would also be nice for you to have:

·         Previous experience and knowledge in the use of Microsoft 365 and other Office applications (Outlook/Word/Excel/Visio/Powerpoint)
