What you will be doing
We're looking for a Financial Crime Analyst to join our Financial Crime Compliance team in the Isle of Man.
In this role, you'll help protect Santander International and our customers by supporting the prevention and management of financial crime risks, including money laundering, terrorist financing, sanctions breaches and fraud. Working closely with colleagues across the business, you'll provide expert guidance, review customer activity when escalated, support governance and reporting, and help ensure our financial crime framework remains effective, proportionate and compliant with regulatory requirements.

What you'll be doing day to day
- Reviewing customer relationships, activities and transactions when escalated, to assess financial crime risk and recommend appropriate actions.
- Supporting the ongoing monitoring and enhancement of Anti-Money Laundering (AML), sanctions and financial crime controls to ensure they remain effective and compliant.
- Identifying, assessing and escalating financial crime, conduct and compliance risks where appropriate.
- Reviewing sanctions, screening and financial crime alerts and supporting investigations and regulatory reporting activities.
- Providing guidance and support to colleagues across the business on financial crime, AML, sanctions and fraud-related matters.
- Supporting financial crime awareness initiatives and helping to promote a strong culture of compliance across the organisation.
- Producing management information, key risk indicators and reports to support governance and informed decision-making.
- Analysing trends and identifying opportunities to strengthen processes, improve controls and enhance the effectiveness of the financial crime framework.
- Supporting internal and external audit activities and contributing to the continuous improvement of financial crime systems, controls and processes.

It would be great if you also have
- Experience in Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Financial Crime or Compliance.
- Experience with sanctions, Customer Due Diligence (CDD), Know Your Customer (KYC) or transaction monitoring.
- Experience investigating financial crime matters or suspicious activity.
- Experience preparing management information, reports or supporting governance forums.
- Experience working within a regulated financial services environment.
- Knowledge of Jersey and/or Isle of Man financial services regulations.
- A relevant AML, Compliance or Financial Crime qualification (or working towards one).
What else you need to know
This is a permanent, full-time position working 35 hours per week.
You'll be based in our office on Prospect Hill in Douglas, Isle of Man and will receive a competitive salary and benefits package, along with the opportunity to develop your career within Santander International.
