What you’ll do

As a Private Banker, you will manage and grow a portfolio of high‑net‑worth clients (typically £500k+ AuM), acting as their primary point of contact and trusted adviser. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Originating new‑to‑bank relationships aligned to the SFS strategy and footprint.
  • Providing exceptional service and building long-term, value‑adding client relationships.
  • Managing client portfolios across banking, credit and investment products (including FX, cash solutions, lending, structured products and investments).
  • Growing assets under management, delivering profitability, and achieving new client acquisition targets.
  • Ensuring full compliance with AML, KYC and regulatory standards, maintaining accurate and timely reviews.
  • Representing SFS in professional and business networks to enhance your profile and grow opportunities.
  • Working closely with internal teams including Credit, Compliance, Operations, Treasury and Marketing to deliver seamless client outcomes.

What we’re looking for

  • A proven track record working with high‑net‑worth clients within a private banking environment.
  • Strong knowledge across banking, investment and credit products, and the ability to match them to client needs.
  • Excellent relationship‑building skills, with the ability to develop business through networks and community visibility.
  • Strong risk awareness, with a solid understanding of UK FCA rules, AML/KYC requirements and governance expectations.
  • Highly organised, proactive and able to manage a demanding pipeline while delivering consistently high service.
  • Experience working independently and remotely, with the drive to identify and convert new business opportunities.
  • Level 6 investment qualification (or Level 4 with a clear path to achieving Level 6 within 18 months).
