Volunteers from Santander International recently supported the Jersey Evening Post Coastal Clean-up Campaign

Volunteers from Santander International’s Jersey branch recently supported the Jersey Evening Post Coastal clean-up campaign, an island-wide initiative. The volunteers helped to clean up Ouaisne Bay and found lots of interesting things including; a mobile phone, a pound note, a football and a supermarket charity token.

“It’s amazing what you can find when you start lifting up the rocks as so much rubbish is trapped underneath. We also found a lot of litter and plastic debris in the dunes behind the sea wall. It’s made us all really think about how we can reduce our own plastic consumption, and also question what more can be done to help keep our beaches clean.” Susan Clark, Head of Marketing.
