It’s been over a year since we opened the doors to the Work Café and what a first year it’s been! The first few months were unpredictable to say the least, navigating through the ever changing Covid-19 restrictions. Despite that, our customer base has grown steadily throughout 2021 and into 2022 and the Work Café has become a vibrant town centre hub.
The café space has become a convenient location for social catch ups and informal business meetings. Our fantastic barista partner, Cargo Coffee Bar offer great quality freshly prepared food and premium drinks, delivered to your table – whether you are seated upstairs or down.
Those who have ventured upstairs will see a buzzing co-working table benefiting from free high-speed Wi-Fi and power, surrounded by increasingly familiar faces.
Our free bookable meeting rooms are always busy as we provide an accessible location for those who don’t have access to premises in town. We highly recommend booking meeting rooms in advance via our website.
Our event space has become a popular place for businesses, charities and community groups to showcase their efforts. The space is free to book, and we will provide additional support promoting your event.
One year on at the end of January 2022, we have seen 63,000 visitors, received 4,400 meeting room bookings and hosted 50 events. It’s our purpose to help people and businesses prosper and we are delighted to be able to offer our fantastic resources.
