What is a Charge Card?
A Charge Card is similar to a credit card as you can spend on it the same way as a credit card, but it has a monthly spending limit and requires that you pay the statement balance in full every month. Your Santander International Charge Card will be linked to an Island Gold Account and every month the balance is due it will be automatically deducted from your account. You will therefore need to ensure that you have sufficient funds in your Island Gold Account every month to make the payment.
The Charge Card is available in a choice of Sterling, Euro or US dollars.
We have partnered with card and payments experts, Accomplish, who will be providing the Charge Cards on our behalf. They have the experience and technology to deliver professional card solutions that can offer a range of benefits that have been especially curated. On your agreement, we will share with them the data they need (name, address, email address, mobile number, date of birth) to set-up and personalise your Charge Card.

Eligibility criteria
You can apply for a Charge Card if you are resident in the Channel Islands or Isle of Man and aged 18 years or over
- You must hold an Island Gold Account with us in the same currency of the Charge Card
- You must either:
- hold a minimum of £/€/$ 25,000 on deposit with us, or
- mandate your salary to us into the associated Island Gold Account
We will do a credit check as part of the application. This will support us in determining whether you are accepted and monthly spending limit that we can offer. We reserve the right to refuse any application.

Annual membership fee
- No annual membership fee for the main (and first) card. This is an introductory offer and if it ends, you will start to be charged an annual membership fee of up to £/€/$100 at the first or subsequent anniversary dates.
- Supplemental cards, i.e. another card in a different currency, will be £/€/$ 50 per annum
