Santander International has appointed Wayne Stanley as Head of Private and Retail Banking. Wayne replaces James Geldart, who has been promoted to Managing Director for Santander International’s Isle of Man branch.

In Panama, Wayne founded a private equity real estate platform which he ran for nine years, investing in properties in Columbia and Panama, before returning to Jersey in 2015 to bring up his young family.

Wayne said: “This is an exciting time to come on board at Santander International. We have ambitious plans for the business and I’m looking forward to working with the team as we grow our Private and Retail Banking services.”

Wayne joins Santander International from Standard Chartered where he led client acquisition for Priority Banking.

James Pountney, CEO, Santander International, said: “I have known and worked with Wayne for many years and am delighted to welcome him to the team. Wayne brings with him a vast amount of experience across disciplines such as Wealth Management, Private and Retail Banking, Trust and Fiduciary services and Real Estate. He is a tremendous addition to the team as we continue to progress our exciting growth agenda.”
